Neiva Universal

The N Neiva 621 Universal is a propeller-driven education and ground-attack aircraft of the Brazilian Indústria Aeronáutica Neiva aircraft manufacturer, now a subsidiary of Embraer.

Development and history

The prototype first flew on 29 April 1966. The aircraft is designed as a low-wing monoplane. The two pilots sitting side by side. The tricycle landing gear is retracted hydraulically.

The Brazilian Air Force has initially ordered 150 and later another 28 machines under the designation T-25. Ten additional aircraft went to the Chilean armed forces. An advanced version, designated YT -25B Universal II, first flew on 22 October 1978 but did not progress beyond the prototype stage. The T-25 was eventually replaced by the Embraer EMB 312.
