Praia International Airport is the airport of the Cape Verdean capital Praia on Santiago Island. The approximately 3 km northeast of the city airport was opened on 23 October 2005 as a replacement for the old Francisco Mendes International Airport.

Other important airports in the country are the main airport Amilcar Cabral International Airport on the popular tourist island especially in Sal and São Pedro Airport in Mindelo on São Vicente.

Is used the airport primarily by the airline TACV both for domestic flights as well as connections to Lisbon, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Fortaleza ( Brazil) and Boston as well as in some African countries. Also flying to Lisbon TAP Portugal. There are also domestic flights of the companies Cabo Verde Express and Halcyonair.
