Nélson Pereira

Nélson Alexandre Gomes Pereira ( born October 20, 1975 in Torres Vedras ), better known as Nélson, is a Portuguese football goalkeeper and currently plays for Belenenses in the Portuguese Super Liga.

Life

Nélson began playing football in his hometown at União Torreense. In 1997 he went to Sporting Lisbon. In 2003, he was after the obligation Ricardo Pereira's only substitute. After his contract expired in the summer of 2006, he was initially unemployed, but was then obliged in October of Vitória Setúbal.

Nélson was a member of the Portuguese national team, but was overpowering with Ricardo Pereira Vítor Baía and competition. He stood in the 2002 World Cup squad in the selection, came as third-choice goalkeeper but not used.
