Němčičky (Břeclav District)

Němčičky ( German Klein Niemtschitz, formerly Upper Niemtschitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located six kilometers east of Hustopeče and belongs to Okres Břeclav.

Geography

Surrounded by vineyards, the village is located in the southwestern foothills of the Ždánický ( Ždánický Forest ). In the eastern part of the town rises the brook Němčický creek, west of Němčičky is the source of Pradlenka and to the south the valley of Trkmanka. To the north of the Dlouhy Tabulka rises kněžský vrch (316 m ) east of Horni ochozy (328 m) and the Kravi hora, southwest (297 m).

Neighboring towns are Boleradice in the north, and Morkůvky Brumovice in the northeast, Kobylí in the east, and Vrbice Bořetice in the southeast, Velkopavlovice in the south, Starovičky the southwest, Hustopeče in the west and Horni Bojanovice in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Nyempczicz took place in 1349 in Brno Landtafel as possession of Čeněk and Levik of Boleradice and Klobouk. Levik, who was also the owner of Morkůvky, used from 1350 the predicate z Němčiček. The name of the species is likely due to the German colonization. Other owners were 1433-1490 the Vladiken of Zástřizl. Eliska of Zástřizl 1490 sold its share to Jan Pott stone, the resulting co-owner was. 1542 began a period of frequent changes of ownership. Němčičky belonged successively to the Pernsteinern, the city of Brno, the Czech Court Marshal Pertolt of Lipa, the Lords of Boskowitz and Čeněk Leipa. This closed the village in 1583 to the united rule Hodonín - Pavlovice. After the Battle of White Mountain, the goods were confiscated. Subsequent owners included the Lords of Žampach and Pott stone, Friedrich Graf von Oppersdorff, Johann Adam I of Liechtenstein and Jan de Graf Czoborové Czoborszentmihály. 1762 The Habsburgs acquired the possession. In 1763 the village had 346 inhabitants. A school is detectable since 1800.

After the abolition of patrimonial Malé Němčice formed a municipality in the district Hustopeče. 1893 resulted in a new school building, which was expanded in 1927. 1930 814 people lived in the village. Since 1961 Němčičky belongs to Okres Břeclav. In the surrounding area were made in the 1970s, exploratory drilling for oil and natural gas, which went down to 5 km depth. The corpus of this deposit was not further developed. Traditionally grown to Němčičky wine and apricots.
