Nenad Bogdanović

Nenad Bogdanovic (Serbian: Ненад Богдановић; born May 12, 1954 in Beška, † September 27, 2007 in Belgrade ) was a Serbian politician and member of the Democratic Party (DS). From 2004 until his death he was mayor of Belgrade.

Career

After the successful visit of a math and science high school Bogdanovic studied electrical engineering from 1978 to 1981 and graduated with a diploma.

After graduation he studied for two decades, with research and development in telecommunications, later manager duties, first at the Institute Mihajlo Pupin and later in other companies in this industry. He was appointed director for joint investments of the Company GTE Telecommunications and EI Pupin 1989. From 1991, he was commercial director and in 1996 director general of the joint ventures Alcatel Pupin Jugoslavia.

He became a member of the Democratic Party (DS ) 1992. The following year he was elected by the party to the Chairman of the Committee of Zemun, vice- chairman of the city committee and Party Chairman for Belgrade.

First, he served as Chief of Staff in Belgrade choice DOS coalition to victory at the city level. Since then he held as head of the Crisis Staff of the City " the threads of the anarchic post-revolutionary Belgrade " in his hand, as was noted in the first biographical newspaper notice after his election.

The craft of the city administration, he learned as a deputy chairman of the expert " for Belgrade government " of the Democratic Party and the GSS ( Civic Union of Serbia ). Friends and employees, but also his political opponents, described him as a prudent, cautious, precise, and very energetic man.

Bogdanovic died in September 2007 at the age of 53 years to cancer.
