NeNe Leakes

NeNe Leakes ( born December 13, 1967 in Queens, New York as Linnethia Monique Johnson) is an American actress and reality TV star.

Life and career

Born Linnethia Monique Johnson in Queens, she earned a few years their income as a stripper under the name Silk.

NeNe Leakes began her career as an actress in 2008 in the reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where they can be seen to this day. In 2011, she participated in the eleventh season of the reality show The Apprentice on NBC and Donald Trump, but she left the set after production of the tenth episode. This was due to differences with Star Jones.

The director Ryan Murphy is a big fan of her temperament. That's why she has a recurring role in his TV series Glee as Roz Washington since 2012. Also it was from 2012 to 2013 in the series The New Normal seen as Rocky Rhoades. The series was co-produced by Ryan Murphy.

Personal

Leakes has a son (* 1989) from a previous relationship. While working as a stripper in 1996 she met Gregg Leakes, a real estate investor. The two married in 1997 and were in February 1999, parents of a boy. In 2010 they separated and filed for divorce in 2011. This was also part of the plot of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. However, the two became engaged again on New Years Day 2013.

Leakes Currently lives in Duluth, a suburb of Atlanta.
