Neoheterandria

Neoheterandria is a genus of viviparous tooth carp ( Poeciliinae ). The fish come in Central America, in rivers and streams of the Atlantic (or Caribbean) side facing of Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama ( Pacific side also ) and Colombia before.
Features
Neoheterandria species reach lengths between 1.5 cm and 5 cm (males), and between 2 cm and 6.5 cm (females ). They are small, elongated fish of a brownish color, often with dark cross bands in the posterior half of the body. Macroscopic features with which the genus can be diagnosed are not present.
Way of life
Neoheterandria species live in both weedy quietly flowing waters of the plains, as well as in mountain streams. They feed on invertebrates and vegetable-based foods
