Neoman Bus

The Neoman company created in 2001 through the acquisition of Scania by MAN Truck & Bus AG, Munich. She put forth buses and bus chassis of various types that were still sold under the brand names Neoplan and MAN. On February 1, 2008, the Company was in the integration of the Bus Division of the MAN Truck & Bus AG legally merged back to the MAN Truck & Bus AG and heard thus to exist. This does not affect two bus brands MAN and Neoplan continue to be marketed as part of a differentiated two-brand strategy, which does not provide for city buses and intercity buses, for example, for Neoplan. The former Neoplan branch work of Gottlob Auwärter GmbH & Co. KG in Pilsting / Lower Bavaria was launched in April 2009 as part of a management buy-out by the former Neoman or Neoplan CEO Joachim Reinmuth and Erno Bartha to the newly founded VISEON bus GmbH.

Specifically, the Neoman bus group was as a 100 percent subsidiary of MAN Truck & Bus AG from 2001 to 2008 from the following companies:

  • MAN Bus GmbH ( travel, overland, city buses, bus chassis )
  • Neoman Bus GmbH, Salzgitter, city buses and chassis
  • Neoplan Bus GmbH ( travel, overland, city buses, often acclaimed innovations such as the first low-floor buses) with the locations Pilsting and Plauen, by the year 2005, the foundation plant in Stuttgart- Möhringen.
  • MAN Star Trucks & Buses ( merger of Star Trucks and MAN Bus Polska; production of (urban) bus components buses in Poland)
  • MAN Türkiye AS, known as Manas ( travel and country of buses in Ankara / Turkey, such as A72, A74, A78, R07, R08, R09 )
  • Joint venture Lion's Bus Company ( a joint venture between MAN and the Chinese company Yutong; production of chassis for buses in Zhengzhou / China)
