Nepenthes adnata is a home on the island of Sumatra carnivorous plant from the genus of pitcher plants ( Nepenthes ). Unlike many other pitcher plants Nepenthes species of adnata no natural hybrids known.

Description

Nepenthes adnata grows about 2 feet high and forms a thin cylindrical stem from. The elliptical-shaped leaves are a good 10 cm long and 2-4 cm wide. On young plants the leaves are much wider.

The cans are about 10 cm tall and are about 3 cm wide.

The male flowers develop at about 10 cm long panicles, sitting at a round 10 cm long stems. The individual male flowers are about 0.5 inches tall and sit on an approximately 1 cm long stalks. The female flowers form on a shorter panicle, the fruits are up to 4 inches tall.

Dissemination

It is native as endemic in the western part of the island of Sumatra at altitudes from 600 to 1100 m.
