Nepenthes chaniana is a Kannenpflanzenart from the family of pitcher plants plants ( Nepenthaceae ) and is indigenous to Sabah, Borneo. It was first described by Charles Clarke in 2006 and was thought to be the form of Nepenthes pilosa.

Description

Nepenthes chaniana differs from Nepenthes pilosa by a dense, long white hair. The pitchers of Nepenthes chaniana are cylindrical and whitish- yellow, the round of Nepenthes pilosa and wider.

Distribution and habitat

Nepenthes chaniana is endemic in the highlands of Sabah on Borneo, the holotype was collected at 1630 meters altitude.

Systematics and etymology

For a long time Nepenthes Nepenthes pilosa chaniana was prized as, until she told Clarke from 2006 as a separate species, the holotype collected from him comes from Gunung Alab in the Crocker Range National Park.
