Nepenthes spathulata is a species of the genus of pitcher plants ( Nepenthes ). This carnivorous plant is native to southern Sumatra.

Description

Nepenthes spathulata is a climber. The stem axis, in a diameter of only about 8 mm to a length of 5 meters. The leaves can be 30 cm long and 20 cm wide and are colored green. The bottom cans are light red to light brown, the opening of the bottom pot is red and the lid is red-green ( see title picture ), but they can also be more green than red colored (see below left ), like the air pots, which, however, also more red can be colored. The cans are 15 inches high and 3 inches wide.

Occurrence and risk

Nepenthes spathulata is native to southern Sumatra. The range extends from Mount Tanggamus to Lake Kerinci.
