Neptunia is a seaside resort in the south of Uruguay.

Geography

It is located on the Río de la Plata in the Department of Canelones east of the provincial capital, Montevideo. At Neptunia is immediately adjacent to the east Pinamar Pinepark. By the seaside resort leads the Ruta Interbalnearia.

Population

Neptunia has 4,774 inhabitants (as of 2011) and thus has in recent years a strong increase in population on. 15 years earlier, only 2050 inhabitants were still registered.
