The programmable room temperature controller should improve in the United States customary, less efficient 2- point control ( only 0 or 100% heating or Kühllleistung compared to the usual in other countries continuous control). Room thermostat from Nest are intended as a replacement for existing warm air heating heating thermostats in 24 - volt technology from various manufacturers and designed for self-assembly by the handyman. They are the special feature of the U.S. building (mainly used warm air heating, low building mass, two-position controller and 24 - volt technology ) optimized and are not marketed in Europe. When configuring the nest heating controller for geographical optimization entering a U.S. zip code is required. For this reason, Nest thermostat is currently in other countries without substantial functional limitations can not be used.
