The Netta is a 102 km long, orographic right tributary of the Biebrza River in northeastern Poland. She has a 1336 km ² large catchment area. Their natural river bed has been channeled in part to the 11 km long Augustowski channel, which as a connecting road between the river basins of the Vistula (Polish Wisła ) and the Baltic- Belorussian Memel ( Nemunas in Lithuanian ) is used.

Geography

The headwaters of the river forms the Rospuda which extends from Niskie Jezioro up in the lake Rospuda Augustowska. The middle curve is determined by the Kanał Bystry, which ranges from the Lake necko to the lake Sajno from which extends the lower reaches of Netta up in the stream of Biebrza.

The source of the river Netta is fed by numerous springs in and around the lake Rospuda Filipowska and flows through a dozen other lakes.
