The Gare de Neuchâtel ( German station Neuchâtel, Neuchâtel railway station also ) is the main railway station of the city of Neuchâtel NE and the canton of the same. Within the city limits still exist to the SBB train station Neuchâtel- Serrières and four stops the overland train to Boudry.

History

The station was opened in 1859 when the track Yverdon -Le Landeron the FS and the OS was opened .. With the opening of routes to La Chaux- de-Fonds and Bern and the gap closing to Biel not the former railway station met the requirements, so that in 1936 a new building was inaugurated. 1987 held for the first time a TGV in Neuchâtel. On the occasion of Expo 02, the station was rebuilt again.

  • Track 5: ICN Genève Aéroport and R to / from Gorgier -St Aubin
  • Track 6: regional trains to / from Le Locle
  • Track 7: RE / from Le Locle, regional trains to / from Buttes

Future

The operating company of the TGV Interlaken East Paris Gare de Lyon, TGV Lyria, announced plans to run the train from December 2013 due to lack of utilization no longer via Neuchâtel, but via Basel.
