Geographical Location

New churches located on the northwestern edge of North Rhine -Westphalia and Lower Saxony borders. History

The original name of the present village is Snedwinkel or Snedwinkela, which translates as " cutting angle " meant and probably originates from the location between the districts Bursibant and Skopingau. At this time, the peasantry was politically and ecclesiastically Snedwinkel to Rheine. Even today, remember the " Snedwinkelstraße " and the " Snedwinkela -Realschule " to the old name.
