The airfield Neuhausen ob Eck ( ICAO: EDPH to 1994, today EDSN ) is close to the west of Neuhausen ob Eck around 6.5 kilometers east of Tuttlingen in the district of Tuttlingen in Baden- Württemberg. He was taken in 1936 as a military airfield in operation, used until 1994 as a military airfield and the Army and " special airfield Neuhausen ob Eck " rededicated to the civilian 1997. Today is on a part of the site of the " take- off industrial park", also the former airfield is home of the annual Southside Festival.

Location

The airport is around 804 meters above sea level scenic between the Upper Danube Valley and Lake Constance. The fenced in area is located in an extension of Tuttlingen road, Neuhausener -town, right on the county road 5945 (until 2011 Federal Road 311) from Ulm to Geisingen.

The largest part of the airport is on Neuhauser district, with the northwestern part of space with 26 acres on the district of Tuttlingen district Nendingen.

History

Military use

Until 1994, the Army Air Corps and 20 belonging to the 10th Panzer Division Season 10 Army helicopters of the type Bell UH -1D and BO105 and the Military Police Training Company 750 were stationed in the Ludwig Erhard barracks.

Civil use

After the dissolution of the site in 1997 on the Association, founded in the same year to the industrial park acquired Neuhausen ob Eck / Tuttlingen, the 143 -acre site. The inter-communal project of the city of Tuttlingen Neuhausen ob Eck and the municipality received in 2000 the name of " take- off industrial park". Innovative medical technology companies are a special target group in the services of the business park. There were already 65 companies with around 700 employees in the take- off industrial park down (as of September 2011).

Aviation facilities,

Neuhausen ob Eck was admitted as a special landing place for self-starting aircraft up to 5700 kg, helicopters are unlimited. Since the end of 2001 the special airfield has a hangar ( parking hall ) with a total of 15 boxes for aircraft category A. Other storage facilities are made in the run-up to the tower. There is no way for refueling on the special airfield Neuhausen ob Eck.
