Neuland Lighthouse

The lighthouse uncharted territory located on the Bay of Kiel, between Hohwachter Bay and Kiel Fjord near the village Behrens village. It is not operated by the Water and Shipping Administration, but by the Bundeswehr. The tower can be in the summer as part of the open day, which the municipality Behrens village organized with the support of the German Federal Armed Forces, visited twice a year.

The tower as a warning of fire

The fire at the historic lighthouse of new territory indicates the blocking times for target practice areas Putlos and Todendorf, as do also the newly built signal points Heidkate, Hubertsberg, Neuland, Wessek, Blankeck and Holy port, if necessary even overnight. The corresponding signal is a yellow flashing light for the Todendorf area and a red flashing light for the Putlos area.
