Neumarkt-Sankt Veit – Landshut railway

The railway line Neumarkt-Sankt Veit Landshut is a single-track, non-electrified main line in Bavaria. It is operated by the SüdostBayernBahn ( a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG).

History

The construction of the route from Landshut to Neumarkt a Rott (now Neumarkt- St. Veit ) was approved on February 1, 1880. The opening of the 38.88 km long stretch was made on October 4, 1883. Initially, the speed of the track was only at 30 km / h On 1 June 1889, the top speed to 50 km / h was raised, as the track has now been operated as a main course.
