Neva Patterson

Neva Louise Patterson ( born February 10, 1920 in Nevada, Iowa, † December 14, 2010 in Brentwood, California ) was an American actress.

Life

Neva Louise Patterson was born on a farm in Nevada, Iowa. After her graduation in 1937 she worked for a time as a secretary before she had enough money to move to New York City. There she worked again as a secretary, singer, and Small Actress, before she gave in 1947 made ​​her Broadway debut. Having already starred in several television series, she made ​​her screen debut opposite Dan Dailey and Blanche Yurka 1953 in the romantic drama taxi.

Neva Patterson was married three times. After her divorce in 1948 by the dancer Thomas Gallagher, she was married from 1953 to 1956 with Michael Ellis, and then from 1957 until his death in 2002 with the screenwriter James Lee. Together with whom she adopted two children, Megan Lee and an italian boy. On December 14, 2010, she died from complications of her broken hip at his home in Brentwood.
