New Bulgarian University

The New Bulgarian University ( Bulgarian and official: Нов български университет / Now balgarski uniweristet, short НБУ / NBU) is a university in the Bulgarian capital Sofia, with around 7500 students.

The New Bulgarian University, Sofia, Ovcha Kupel district, was founded on September 18, 1991 by intellectuals with the intention to modernize the post-communist Bulgarian studies. Current headmaster (as of August 2012) of the University is the anthropologist Plamen Botschkow.
