The New National Stadium of Laos is located in the Lao capital Vientiane. It is the main stadium of Laos. There is a soccer field and a running track for athletics competitions. 25,000 people can find a place in the stands. It was built at the South East Asia Games 2009. The new National Stadium, which is 17 km north-east of the city center, replacing the former National Stadium, which is located near the Presidential Palace in Vientiane's center.
The National Stadium is part of a larger complex in which it also is a swimming pool with 2,000 spectator seats, two sports halls with 3000 seats, a tennis center with 2000 seats and a shooting with space for up to 50 spectators.
