New Masonic Temple (St. Louis)

The New Masonic Temple in Saint Louis, Missouri is a monumental Masonic Temple in the 1920s, regarded as one of the landmarks of midtown Saint Louis.

History

The New Masonic Temple at address 3681 Lindell Boulevard was opened in October 1926. The classical skyscraper in the original form of two of superimposed temples cost four million U.S. dollars and should serve about 25,000 Masons of the Saint Louis region as a place of assembly. It contained also the temporary premises of the Grand Lodge of Missouri and the Office of the Grand Master Harry S. Truman.
