New Mexico State Route 48 is a highway in the U.S. state of New Mexico, which runs in a north -south direction.

The highway begins at U.S. Highway 70 in Ruidoso and ends in Capitan on U.S. Highway 380, the State Route leads through the Sacramento Mountains, which are part of the Lincoln National Forest. Halfway the New Mexico State Route 37 begins, which can be used as a bypass of Capitan.
