New Salem is a village in Pike County in the western part of the U.S. state of Illinois. In 2009, New Salem had 124 inhabitants.

Geography

New Salem is located at 39 ° 42'26 " north latitude and 90 ° 50'47 " west longitude. The city covers more than 2.7 square kilometers, which consist exclusively of land area.
