New Vision

New Vision is one of the two major national newspapers in Uganda. A circulation of about 35,000 and is based in Kampala. In addition to the main edition in English there is a daily ( Bukedde ) and three weekly regional editions ( orumuri, rupiny and Etop ) in local languages. New Vision appears in A3 format in 48 pages.

The newspaper was founded in 1986 after the takeover of power by President Yoweri Museveni and is owned by the state.
