New York International Fringe Festival

The New York International Fringe Festival ( or fringenyc ) is an American cultural festival that takes place annually for two weeks in August in Manhattan.

The fringenyc was founded in 1996 by the off-Broadway theater group The Present Company. It now has its own organization and its own staff and sells over 75,000 cards per year.

The fringenyc is particularly aimed at Off Broadway Theatre. The spectrum ranges from classical plays to experimental contributions.

Fringenyc distinguished by its competition with a jury. About 200 groups presented in 2010 during the festival in various theaters in Manhattan.
