New Zealand Davis Cup team

The New Zealand Davis Cup team is the national team of New Zealand tennis. The Davis Cup is the most important competition for national teams in men's tennis, similar to the Fed Cup for the women.

History

Since 1924 New Zealand takes part in the Davis Cup. Between 1905 and 1922, New Zealand and Australia played in a joint team that took time under the name Australasia. This joint team was six times the Davis Cup win, but these victories will be awarded in today's statistics of the Australian team. The accordingly biggest success the team in 1982 with the semi-finals against France.
