Next (novel)

Next is a novel by Michael Crichton. He was in the original edition under the same title in 2006 HarperCollins Publishers - published publisher. The German hardcover edition was published the paperback edition in August 2008 2007. Also a Spanish paperback edition was published in 2009.

Action

Frank Burnet cell lines are worth $ 3 billion. But he has been cheated out of that money from the university clinic LA, which has sold to the company BioGen Research Inc. these cells. These cells are contaminated after a few weeks by an unknown person. BioGen facing bankruptcy, so they have no choice but to Mr. Burnet again refer to cells.

Criticism

Crichton wants to consider this novel criticism of genetic tests from various sites and describes it. The most criticism Crichton is however included in the epilogue. There he speaks topics such as the Genpatent or research bans, and calls for clear guidelines, such as something similar to a Schemes Act.
