Ng Ser Miang

Ng Ser Miang ( Chinese:黄 思 绵; born April 6, 1949 in the Republic of China ) is a Singaporean diplomat and since 1998 a member of the International Olympic Committee ( IOC).

Life

After studying at the University of Singapore Ng worked as a bank clerk. In 1974 he became managing an insurance company and two years later he took over the chairmanship in 2000 to local public transport companies TIBS. Ng is currently Chairman of a number of companies.

His career as a sports official began in the late 1980s, when he was first in 1989 then elected Vice - President as President of the Singapore Yachting Association. 1988 Ng Member of the Singapore Sports Council and was elected as its Chairman in 1991. As Chairman of the Finance Committee he wore in 1993 largely to the economic success of the discharged in Singapore 17th Southeast Asia Games.

He was Vice - President of the Asian Yachting Federation and the year after Vice - President of the International Sailing Federation Also in 1993. In 1998 he was elected to the International Olympic Committee. There Ng was a member of the IOC Committee that accompanied the preparation for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. He was also a member of the Evaluation Commission for the award of the Olympic Summer Games in 2012.

Ng became his country's ambassador appointed in 2000 in Hungary and additionally appointed in 2001 as ambassador to Norway.
