NGC 3132
NGC 3132 is the name of a planetary nebula in the constellation Antlia. NGC 3132 has a surface area of 1.4 '× 0.9 ' and an apparent brightness of 9.2 mag. In some publications it is called because of its similarity to M57 as Southern Ring Nebula.
Discovery
The planetary nebula NGC 3132 was discovered on March 2, 1835 by the British astronomer John Herschel.
