Ngoyo

Ngoyo was an Iron Age kingdom of Woyo tribe in the south of Cabinda in the present territory of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola. It was founded around the 15th century on the Atlantic coast of Central Africa, north of the Congo Bantu. According to tradition, the inhabitants Ngoyos their ancestors were among the earliest settlers in the region under the leadership of their chiefs, who called themselves nfumu nsi ( " lords of the earth "). The capital was Mbanza Ngoyo.
