Niall Ó Brolcháin

Niall Ó Brolcháin is an Irish politician and former Mayor of Galway.

Niall Ó Brolcháin was elected to the City Council of Galway in 2004, an office which he still clothed. From 2006 to 2007 he held the office of Mayor of Galway. This Ó Brolcháin the second green mayor Ireland was the first Green mayor of the city, as well as John Gormley at all.

In 2007, he ran for his party for a seat in the 30th Dáil Éireann, but failed again as in the 2002 election. In December 2009 Ó Brolcháin was elected at a by-election in the Seanad Éireann and thus occupied the vacant seat of the elected to the European Parliament in June Alan Kelly new. With his election to the Seanad Éireann Ó Brolcháin resigned from the City Council of Galway.

Ó Brolcháin is married and has five children.
