Nicholas Manza Kamakya

Nicholas Manza Kamakya (* 1985) is a Kenyan long-distance runner.

After he had achieved in the previous years top rankings in smaller races, especially in the United States and France, he first appeared in 2009 when more significant competitions in appearance. In March, he finished the Prague Half Marathon in a personal best of 1:00:09 hours in second place and won in May at the Göteborgsvarvet.

In October 2009, he attended the Beijing marathon for a surprise. Originally hired as a pacemaker, he ran through the race and finished in 2:08:42 hours in second. A few weeks later he was a member of the Kenyan season, which finished third at the Chiba Ekiden -. In early December he won the Montferland -run and missed the course record, of Haile Gebrselassie by only two seconds.

2010 Kamakya at Yangzhou Jianzhen Half Marathon in 1:02:18 h Second and the Rome Marathon in 2:12:19 h in sixth. Using the Gold Coast Marathon in 2011 he presented with his winning time of 2:10:01 h a course record. In the same year he won the Amsterdam Marathon in a personal best of 2:06:33 hours in fourth place.
