Nick & Perry

Nick & Perry is a German - French animated series with a total of 52 episodes about 25 minutes each, which was first aired in 2000. It is about two intelligent, extraterrestrial dogs running around with their UFO on earth and be ingested by humans as pets. As earth dog disguised, they try henceforth to return to their home planet dogma.

Characters

  • Nick is a large, orange dog of proud stature. He likes life on earth, especially television and the beautiful earth bitch Sofia, he tried to conquer. He is lazy, pleasure-seeking and grundoptimistisch. Like all Dogmanier he is a vegetarian.
  • Perry is a small, blue dog, a beagle not dissimilar. He is highly intelligent, always remains cool and deliberate. Perry is technically very gifted and can consist of simple human objects build highly complex equipment. The easygoing Nick often caused him great annoyance, especially when he botched his return plans.
  • Lucy is a little girl on her birthday no longer wished to be a dog. As just then overnight crash of a UFO in her garden and the other upright-walking and speaking Dogmanier Nick and Perry had to disguise itself as earth dogs, they held the two for a gift of her father. Lucy is a very aufgewecktes, adventurous single child often behaves more like a boy than as a girl.
  • Frank is professor of history and single father. When Lucy holds the two Dogmanier for a gift from him, he can not bring the heart to disappoint them and keeps Nick and Perry. Frank is often absent-minded and gullible.
  • Mr. Smith is the spiteful neighbor of Frank and Lucy and part-time Ufojäger who tries to catch Nick and Perry in non- hündischem behavior, then the science to sell.

Content

Nick and Perry live in an underground control center, whose input is disguised as a dog kennel. They often interpret a human achievement or behavior wrong and keep them for a danger against which they must save their planet landlady Lucy or equal to the whole of humanity. In addition, Perry keeps trying to build various contraptions that either at least to send a distress signal there return to their home planet or dogma. This is often thwarted by Nicks clumsy and careless behavior, or because he simply refuses to leave the earth. Many episodes revolve also that Mr. Smith tried to catch the dog when speaking, when walking upright or in the operation of a technical system and therefore provides them various traps.

Production and publication

The series was produced in 1998 and 1999 under the direction of Tony Barnes Ellipse Animation, TFC Trickompany Film Production Film Production and Victory 16. The music was composed by Danny Chang.

The first broadcast was held by M6 Métropole Télévision in France from 25 October 2000. In Germany, the series was first shown on 11 September 2001 to 27 September 2001 at Ki.Ka.
