Nick Rahall

Nick Joe Rahall II ( born May 20, 1949 in Beckley, West Virginia) is an American politician. Since 1993 he represents the third electoral district of the state of West Virginia in the U.S. House of Representatives; previously he had been since 1977 Member of the fourth district.

Career

Nick Rahall attended Woodrow Wilson High School in his birthplace of Beckley and thereafter until 1971, the Duke University in Durham (North Carolina). Until 1972 he continued his education at George Washington University continued in the capital Washington. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party. Between 1971 and 1974 he was a member of U.S. Senator Robert Byrd. In 1972 he was a delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Miami Beach.
