Nick St-Pierre

Nicolas "Nick" St- Pierre ( born March 7, 1985 in La Pocatière, Quebec ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who plays for the Krefeld Penguins in the DEL since the 2013/14 season.

Career

St- Pierre began near his home with the sport of ice hockey. In Hawkesbury he was still with 20 years for the local club on the ice. Followed in 2005 by his move to the University team from Colgate University, where he played four years, but failed to reach significant success with the team. 2009, wrote of Canadians his first professional contract with the Syracuse Crunch, where he had already played a few missions in the preseason. However, this season went for him differently than expected. So the defender was used finally at four different clubs. Also, due to these circumstances to St- Pierre, North America decided to leave to play in the future in Europe. For the season 2010/11, the Czech extra league team HC Plzeň 1929 took him under contract. With this change, continuity returned to his career. A total of three years defended the Canadians for the club. The highlight of this station followed in the 2012/13 season, when the Czech league title was won. Despite this success, and inserts in the first line of defense his expiring contract was not renewed.

In May 2013, the Krefeld Penguins announced the commitment of the Canadian. He signed a one year contract.
