Niclas Jönsson
Niclas Jönsson (* August 4, 1967 in Bankeryd ) is a Swedish racing driver.
Career
Jönsson began in 1977 as a kart driver with motor racing. After he had brought three times the Swedish national champion in karting, he made his debut in 1989 in Formula 3, where he won in 1990 and 1991, the Scandinavian race series and moved in 1992 to the Swedish Touring Car Championship. As of 1999, Jönsson competed in the American Le Mans Series and the Indy Racing League. In 2003 he took part in the Speed World Challenge, where he finished second in the drivers' championship the following year behind Bill Auberlen.
Jönsson has a Masters in Psychology with a focus on speech therapy.
