Nico Vega

Nico Vega is an American rock band that was formed in Los Angeles in 2005.

History

Nico Vega was founded by Mike Peña and Aja Volkman 2005, the band name derived from the name of Peñas mother. After an initial orientation phase and a first self-released EP in 2006 Peña left the band to care more about his acting career and his family. A little later Thomas Anderson 's attention at a concert of the band and took her MySpace Records. There, the band released their second EP in 2009 and their first studio album Nico Vega. This was followed by tours with Neon Trees, Shiny Toy Guns and Gavin Rossdale. In 2012, Nico Vega switched to Five Seven Music label, where they released the EP Oh Fury Fury early 2013.

Wider perception obtained Nico Vega songs by the Beast, released from their 2009 debut album, and oh Fury Fury were used in the trailers for BioShock Infinite computer. Volkman called this "one of the greatest things that had ever happened to her band " ("[ ... ] kind of one of the biggest things that's ever happened to my band "). The sale of the single took within the first two weeks of the publication of the trailer to 4000 % respectively.

Trivia

The song " Beast" was used in trailers for the films The Collector (2009) and Jack Reacher (2012 ). In addition, the song in television and cinema commercials and in the launch trailer was used together with " oh Fury Fury" for BioShock Infinite. He is also in the final game in the start menu in a modified form using.

The release of BioShock Infinite catapulted Nico Vega No. 1 on the Next Big Sound Billboard charts, a chart ranking in the top 100 remained out yet.
