Nicolás Amodio

Andrés Nicolás Amodio ( born March 10, 1983 in Montevideo) is an Uruguayan football player.

Career

Beginnings in Uruguay

Nicolás Amodio learned to play football in the youth of Defensor Sporting Club in Uruguay as a midfielder. In the seasons 2003 and 2004, he completed 18 (one goal ) or two (no gate) Premiership games for Defensor Sporting.

Move to Europe

In 2004 he moved to Italy to SS Sambenedettese Calcio, where he in Serie C1, the third highest Italian league played. Amodio graduated 30 games and scored one goal for Sambenedettese Calcio. In that season he managed with the Association of 4th place in Serie C, which is entitled to participate in the play-offs for promotion to the B series. In these games, the club SSC Napoli defeated missing out on promotion. In summer 2005, the midfielder was transferred to the then Premier League rivals Napoli. In the two following years Amodio succeeded with Napoli of the walkover in the series A. He graduated from there 52 of 76 possible matches for Napoli, where he remained without a goal. For the season 2007/ 08 the club gave him the FBC Treviso. Amodio could not play there in the root formation and only played nine league games. Mid-January 2008 was followed the next Lending: This time Amodio played temporarily at AC Mantova. Thereafter, the Uruguayan midfielder returned to Napoli. In Napoli, which had become established in Serie A, he was due to strong competition from summer 2008 until now only three operations in the Italian championship. On 29 January 2010, Napoli announced a loan until end of season for Serie B club Piacenza Calcio. In August 2010, he was given on loan to second division Calcio Portogruaro Summaga.

Return to Uruguay

After eight years in Europe, he returned in July 2011 back to Uruguay and joined to Peñarol. The Aurinegros he came in the season 2011/12 to five appearances in the Primera División and two appearances in the Copa Libertadores in 2012. In August 2012, it was reported that Peñarol was seeking to run until December 31, 2012 contract with dissolve the player. In May 2013 June 30, 2013 was specified for Amodio contract.
