Nicolas Hulot

Nicolas Hulot ( born April 30, 1955 in Lille) is a well known and popular in France for many years, television presenter, environmentalist and filmmaker. In April 2011, he announced his candidacy for the French presidential election of 2012, but lost in the primaries of the party Europe Ecologie -Les Verts.

He has on a Breton Island domiciled; He is married and has three children.

Already in the previous two French presidential election campaigns Hulot had committed: In 2002, he supported the Gaullist Jacques Chirac, who vainly offered him the post of Minister of the Environment; In 2006 he moved with his newly founded there Nicolas Hulot Foundation for Nature and the human five official candidate for signing a pact for the environment for a firm green policies if elected.
