Nicolas Rea, 3rd Baron Rea

John Nicolas Rea, 3rd Baron Rea ( born June 6 1928) is a British Labour Party politician.

Life

He was born the son of Philip Rea, 2nd Baron Rea and his wife Betty Rae. He attended, among others, the Dartington Hall School and studied at the University of Cambridge. At the local Christ's College, he obtained the degrees MA in Natural Sciences, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery in 1951 and Doctor of Medicine in 1969. In 1981 he succeeded his father as Baron Rea. After the House of Lords Act 1999, he remained as a hereditary peer in the House of Lords.

In his first marriage Lord Rea was married from 1951 to 1991 with Elizabeth Robinson. From this marriage four sons and two daughters were born. In their divorce, he married Judith Mary Powell.
