Nicole (German singer)

Nicole ( born October 25, 1964 as Nicole Hohloch in Saarbrücken; married Nicole Seibert ) is a German pop singer. At 17, she won as an interpreter of the song A little peace the Euro Vision Song Contest in 1982 and thus achieved the first victory for Germany in this competition.

Life

Nicole was born as the daughter of Marlyn and Siegfried Hohloch. From 1971 she had discovered her first performances in school and company parties and was founded in 1980 on a song festival in Schwäbisch Hall by Robert Jung. In 1981, Jupiter Records with Ralph Siegel, the singer under contract. In the summer of the same year the title was not Fly so high published my little friend. The song was for a total of 22 weeks on the singles charts and reached number two on the sales charts.

On 24 April 1982, the then 17 -year-old high school student Nicole became the first German representative of the Euro Vision Song Contest in English Harrogate with the song A little peace. This winning title has sold over five million copies worldwide, won platinum and gold.

Nicole took seventeen times first place in the ZDF hit parade and appeared at Dalli Dalli. In the English charts, it reached the first German with A Little Peace the first place and appeared in the BBC at Top of the Pops.

Since August 18, 1984 Nicole is with her childhood friend, the automotive expert Winfried Seibert, married. The couple has two daughters and one grandchild. The family lives in Nohfelden- Neunkirchen in Saarland.

In 1991, she won the "Golden pop band" as the winner of the First German song festival hit '91 in Berlin Germany Hall.

In winter 2008/2009 Nicole went after a long rest back on tour to present her published in spring 2008 album " Straight to the heart ." On this tour played Nicole unplugged. Nicole sang alone and was accompanied only by a choir voice. She played on the accordion and the cajon. A guitar, a bass and a cajon provided the musical accompaniment. On 14 November 2009 she began her church tour 2009 in the Church of the Resurrection in Kassel.

After separation of professional Ralph Siegel Nicole is now no longer with Jupiter Records, but moved to Ariola, also under the umbrella of Sony Music Entertainment; 2013 she moved to record label Telamo. In 2007, she presented the Ralph Siegel echo for his life's work.

To celebrate its 30 - year anniversary appeared on 29 October 2010 a double CD and a DVD entitled "30 years of heart and soul ."
