Nicole Nau

Nicole Nau ( born January 30, 1963 in Dusseldorf ) is a US-based Argentine dancer of Tango Argentino and Argentinian folklore.

Life

Nau worked according to a study graphic design at first for advertising agencies, before they relocated to Argentina and trained as a professional dancer. In 1990 she made ​​her first appearance at the Café Homero. A commitment as a dancer at the Opera Maraton at the opera house Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires followed.

In 2002 she had with the tango opera Orestes - Last Tango premiere. The opera was co-produced by the World Music Theatre Festival in the Netherlands. Here she danced for the first time with Luis Pereyra, its present husband and partner.

In collaboration with Luis Pereyra productions El Sonido de mi Tierra, Bailando en Soledad, Secretos de la Danza, El Color de mi Baile Puro Tango Argentino and y Mas incurred. Together they had re-opened in 2007 as artistic director of the Tango Café de los Angelitos house. In 2010, the artistic director of the Viejo Almacén and 2011 in Aqui folklore followed ..

They toured inter alia, in Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Germany, Japan, Russia, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, the UK and Canada.

She realized the costume design in various tango and folklore productions.

Nicole Nau is currently writing her second book.
