Nicole Powell

Nicole Kristen Powell ( born June 22, 1982 in Sierra Vista, Arizona, United States) is a professional basketball player. In the 2010 season she plays for the New York Liberty in the Women's National Basketball Association.

Career

College

Nicole Powell played until 2004 for the women's basketball team at Stanford University. During her time at college Powell broke several records and was voted among other things three times to the All- American.

WNBA (since 2004)

Nicole Powell was selected by the Charlotte Sting in the WNBA Draft third overall place in 2004. She played 31 times for the Sting in the 2004 season, but they never stood in the starting lineup and also their playing time remained at 12.4 minutes per game in check.

On 3 March 2005 she was transferred to the Sacramento Monarchs. In Sacramento she stood in all 34 season games in the starting lineup.
