Niederbauen-Chulm

Niederbauen Kulm ( the spelling varies: in cards usually still Niederbauen Chulm or Niderbauen Chulm, on signs partially Niderbawen, based on the higher neighbors Niederbauenstock ) is the top of a mountain in the Urner Alps on the border between the cantons of Nidwalden and Uri.

It has a height of 1,923 m above sea level. M., and both of Emmetten (NW ) to the west, and from Seelisberg (UR ) in the east climbable. From each side a small cable car can rise to shorten (see links).

The summit affords a comprehensive panorama of the lake and the surrounding mountains, like (selection from N to W clockwise) Rigi Hochflue, Fronalpstock, Rophaien, Uri Rostock, breezes, Stanserhorn, Pilate.

More than 1,400 meters below the summit and slightly southwest is the Seelisbergtunnel by which performs an important highway connection, which here but nothing is felt, since they in the south again until at Seedorf ( UR) comes to light.
