Niels Fredborg

Niels Christian Fred Borg ( born January 28, 1946 in Odder ) is a former Danish racing cyclist who was successful as a racing cyclist. He won in three Olympic participations three medals and was a multiple world champion.

Niels Fred Borg was the dominant amateur racing cyclist Denmark, especially in the short-term events of mid- 1960 to mid-1970s. He won only 27 national titles in the disciplines of Team Pursuit, Sprint, 1,000 meters time trial and tandem race. 1967 Fred Borg became world champion in his specialist discipline, the 1000 -meter time trial for the first time. He defended his title at the UCI Track World Championships in 1968, where he.
