Niels Hansen (footballer)

Niels Hansen ( born July 25, 1983 in Flensburg ) is a German football player.

Career

Niels Hansen began his career in his native village Husby at the local amateur club. Until 1997, he played at TSV Husby, TSV Nordmark Satrup before. The defensive midfielder joined after two years Buedelsdorfer TSV. There, however, he only played in the 1999/2000 season before him in the Youth B managed the jump to Holstein Kiel. There he became a regular player in the regional and completed 34 season games in the season 2004/05.

At the beginning of the season 2005/ 06 changed Hansen Holstein Kiel for SC Freiburg.

Hansen played his first game in the 2nd Bundesliga against 1 FC Saarbrücken Game Day on 9th of the season 2005/06. His first goal in the 2nd league he succeeded on February 12, 2006 in stoppage time for 2-0 win against Kickers Offenbach.

For the season 2007/ 08 he moved to league rivals FC Carl Zeiss Jena. In summer 2008 he extended by one year and led the team of FC Carl Zeiss Jena in the 08/ 09 season as captain.

On 11 June 2009 Hansen signed a contract with VfL Osnabrück until 30 June 2011.

His goal was to make it 1-0 against Hamburger SV on 23 September 2009 contributed significantly to the surprising victory of the third division of the DFB Cup against the Bundesliga leaders. With the VfL ​​Osnabrück he rose as the master of 3rd League 2009/10 to the 2nd Bundesliga.
