Nigar Jamal

Nigar Camal ( born September 7, 1980 in Baku ) is an Azerbaijani singer.

Life

Nigar Camal grew up with her grandparents. She attended a high school and learned to play the saxophone. She also sang in the choir and performed with the band Pöhrə. She speaks four languages ​​: Azerbaijani, Turkish, English and Russian. In 2001, she completed a course of study in the subjects of Economics and Business Administration at the Khazar University in her hometown.

On 11 February 2011, she won the preliminary round Azerbaijani Milli seçim turu and represented then, together with the nine years younger Eldar Qasımov under the duet called " Ell & Nikki " their homeland in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf. On 10 May 2011 she presented the written by Stefan Örn, Sandra Bjurman and Iain Farguhanson English ballad Running Scared in the first ESC semi-final.
