Nii Parkes

Nii Ayikwei Parkes ( born April 1, 1974 at the United Kingdom) is written a Ghanaian writer and artist, short stories, articles, lyrics and rap.

Parkes was born in the United Kingdom as the son of Ghanaian parents and raised in Ghana. He attended the first of Ann's Preparatory School North Industrial Area and following the Achimota School in Accra. Later he studied at the Manchester Metropolitan University in England. During this time he also began to write poetry and joined the local poetry scene and the Black Writer's Group of Common Word.

Parkes currently lives and works in London, where he appears in a literary cafe. His work has an emphasis in youth culture since the park itself enjoys working with children and adolescents.

He had his greatest success so far with his mystery novel The trace of the bee -eater, which reached number 8 in the best thrillers of 2010, inter alia, in the crime world leaderboard.
